- How do I run HijriDate Plugin?
HjriDate is not a program, it’s a today screen plugin that integrates with your today screen. The installation program for HijriDate will register and run it automatically with the system.
- How do I use HijriDate Plugin?
Once HijriDate plugin is installed and activated, it displays a new section in the today screen allowing you to view the Hijri and/or Gregorian colander in either Arabic and/or English.
- Does HijriDate replace the standard system date plugin?
No, it doesn’t replace it, however, HijriDate Plugin eliminates the need to have the standard date plugin active as HijriDate allows you o display the Gregorian date as well as the Hijri one.
- Does HijriDate plugin require any Arabic fonts to be installed to view the dates in Arabic?
No, HijriDate plugin doesn’t require any Arabization to be installed nor any Arabic fonts to be installed. Although HijriDate plugin is a tiny today plugin, it comes packed with all the tools it requires to display Arabic and dEnglish.
- Can I change the color used to display the dates?
No, you can’t do this manually. As any standard today plugin, HijriDate will adjust its display whenever you change your PocketPC’s theme according to the today screen parameters included in this theme.
- How can I change the way the date is displayed in HijriDate?
HijriDate offers many configuration options to let customize its display the way you want. To access those options you need to either
- Go to the plugin applet (StartMenu -> settings -> today -> today plugins).
- Select HjriDate and tap on [options]
or
- Tap on the clock icon displayed in your today screen beside the date in HijriDate plugin.
- Can I change the position of HijriDate plugin in my today screen?
Yes, you can move it up or down among the other today screen plugins you have. To do this you need to go to the plugin applet (StartMenu -> settings -> today -> today plugins) and select the HijriDate plugin and tap on [move up] or move down] to move it.
- The Hijri date displayed is not correct, how can I adjust it?
Due to the nature of the Hijri date (being a lunar calendar based and it depends on the crescent sighting) HijriDate Plugin might display the date off by one day, to correct this, you can go to the options and select the adjustment factor (+2, +1, 0, -1 or -2).
- How can I remove HijriDate plugin from my today screen?
If you just need to disable it for some point of time, then go to the plugin applet (StartMenu -> settings -> today -> today plugins) and remove the check mark beside the “HijriDate plugin” entry, to re-enable the HijriDate plugin you just need to put this add the check mark again.
